For Pleasant Valley Cabins & Campground: I really enjoyed my stay here over Labor Day weekend. The RV full hookup sites have a nice grassy area behind and back up to a small river. The location was convenient to Black Canyon, Blue Mesa and lots of nice hiking trails just a short drive away. Make sure to stop in to the general store to get some pie!

For Pleasant Valley Cabins & Campground: I don’t know why everyone is complaining about no cell service. It’s not the campgrounds vault for that! And you’re camping! How about you disconnect for a little? My gf and I work from our phones, so we decided to go into town for a little to get some cell service and look around.
Tito and Sydney are great host. If people actually go into the little shop and talk to them, they will tell you some awesome stories. We were told to walk up to the pasture across the river and meet Kevin. He’s the biggest sheep you will ever see! He came right up to us and ate grass right out of our hands.
Sydney also makes amazing pies! We had to buy a whole apple pie before we left!
Thank you for having us. We will be back!

For Pleasant Valley Cabins & Campground: Grass sites no shower facilities no internet or tv (cable or local) no Verizon phone service. Had to drive 7 miles west to get phone service. Overnight stay on your way to someplace else.

For Pleasant Valley Cabins & Campground: Stayed two nights which was quite enjoyable. The little stream was more if a torrent! Though, snows were still melting when we stayed. Kids had a great time and no issues with staff. Just like the preceding comment, be aware that there are no cell phone comms and wifi is negligible.

For Pleasant Valley Cabins & Campground: The best thing about Pleasant Valley is the location. Each site backs up to the Little Cimarron River, which is just a few feet away, with a grassy area including picnic table and a grill between your rig and the water. The sites themselves are mostly shaded also.
Unfortunately, the park is relatively old, and the owners don't have much of a customer service orientation. Although we had full hookups, the electrical service was only 30 amps, not 50, and this was not mentioned anywhere on their website or during the phone reservation process. In addition, our coach's electrical management system showed we were getting only 102-104 volts at the pedestal, so it kept shutting off our power due to low voltage. When we asked one of the owners about this, she said, "well, I'm not the electric company, so there's nothing I can do about it." True, but not very nice. Although we had paid for a week, we left after one night (and the owner willingly refunded our money for the unused nights) and went to a different park.
Also note that there is NO COVERAGE from either AT&T or Verizon (voice or data) available in the campsite. The store does have free wifi for customers, but it's usable only inside and in the immediate area outside the store. I was able to get AT&T coverage by driving east about 1/2 mile on US 50. For Verizon, I had to drive several miles west to Cerro Summit.
