For Sugarloaf Ridge State Park: Beautiful, well-maintained campground with friendly staff. Can reserve most sites ahead, but a few Riverside camps are “first-come, first-served”. If you are in the area to go Wine Tasting, this is a great basecamp. Peaceful and quiet. There are water spigots (non-threaded) at each camp and 3 Threaded spigots in the center field to allow easy hose hook-up to fill your RV tank. Also noted that there are working electrical outlets in the bathrooms! Unusual to find in a SP - but really appreciated by us long-haired gals.

For Sugarloaf Ridge State Park: Enchanting park with many options for hiking and viewing of waterfalls. Friendly staff and small camp store. This is dry camping, with water faucets located throughout the campground. The bathrooms and shower were tiled and clean. Fires are permitted in fire rings. There is a long, winding road up into the park. Napa and Yountville are at least an hour away. No internet except in the camp store. Recommended.

For Sugarloaf Ridge State Park: Awesome State park! Elevation 1200 feet. Absolutely no wifi service (Verizon). Mostly tent campers, but few smaller RVs. Fires allowed in ring. Observatory open some Saturdays. Hiking everywhere (no dogs on trails). Was up in middle of night to let dog potty and it was absolutely pitch black and the stars were like diamonds (no city lights)!! FAB! Would stay again and recommend. No electric/water/dump but clean nice restrooms/showers available.
