For Fort Pickens - Gulf Islands National Seashore: This is a beautiful area with beautiful beaches. The campground is quiet but rather crowded but the sites are not nearly as close together as some private and not nearly as expensive. The reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because of all the dogs being allowed to defacate wherever they want like on other’s sites where proplebwalk, sit, play or hook up their water. Not everyone thinks dogs should be treated just like people. They should have a separate walking area their owners can use for them.

For Fort Pickens - Gulf Islands National Seashore: Love the location, you can’t beat it for its beautiful gulf shoreline. We parked our 32-ft fifth wheel in Loop A and will never do that again. Although there were many similar sized rigs there, we had a heck of time getting in and out. Had to ask neighbor across the street to move their vehicle. Site was paved, but narrow with 4-in drop into sand on either side. Tight drive around the loop. Once in, we really enjoyed it. Shower rooms were decent and private. Loop A has a dump station and there is one other at the other loops. We opted to go use that one because our loop was so difficult to get through and where our site was located we would need to drive around the entire loop to get to station. When we got to the other station, it was closed! If we stay here again, we will stay at the larger loop that is more accommodating to big rigs.

For Fort Pickens - Gulf Islands National Seashore: This was my third time at this campground (4/2019). The campground store is closed since they can’t find anyone to run it. Wood and ice can be purchased at the convenience store just outside the park or at Walmart/Publix in Gulf Breeze. For tent campers, loops B and D don’t have dedicated water or electric anymore (I believe due to Hurricane damage), but there are water spigots every few sites. D24, D25, And B6 are still the best tent sites for shade/space. Loops C and E are very crowded and most don’t have shade. Loop A is more spaced out and most of the sites have good shade. A4, 6, 12, 14, 15, 19, 21, 24, 26, 35, 36 have the best shade (35 is next to the dumpsters and dump station; 36 is okay shade but not the best. Site booking opens up six months in advance which i highly recommend as the shady spots go fast. There is one dump station for loops B-E and one for loop A. Battery Cooper Rd was closed when we went this time but everything else was open for exploring. The price to enter Gulf Islands is now $20 (separate from camping reservations) and is good for 7 days. The toll to get across the bridge from Pensacola to Gulf Breeze is still $1. All in all, this is always a great trip (even though it’s now eight hours away for us).

For Fort Pickens - Gulf Islands National Seashore: Wonderful national park. Fort Pickens interesting to walk around. Beach right across road with beautiful white sand. Biking on trail as well as on road. Bathrooms clean with plenty of hot water. We will definitely be back here again.

For Fort Pickens - Gulf Islands National Seashore: Stayed 4 nights in loop A. Fairly quiet with plenty of trees. No issues getting into our site with a 28ft Class C. There were much larger rigs parked as well. Short walk across the park road and you’re on the beach... not crowded at all. Facilities are nice, plenty of hot water.
