For Virgin River Canyon Campground: BLM reopened this recreation area on April 15, 2022. Few people know about this, making it easy to get a day use or camping site. The terrain is excellent for day hikes, and rock climbing. Watch out for the cows and their collection of pies scattered about. Human contact is a new phonema for them, so it’s best you leave them alone, and they’ll leave you alone, The lack of maintenance during its closure means some of the trails are not clearly marked, and some signs are on the ground or are missing. There isn’t a regular ranger active here, making registration and fee payment self-serve. I did see a BLM employee empty the box at noon and then drive back onto Interstate 15. Regardless, this is still a worthwhile place to do a day trip or weekend camping trip.

For Virgin River Canyon Campground: Nice BLM campground. Pretty well kept. running water in the bathrooms (cold water only), no showers. Hard to beat for $8, and fabulous scenery. Day we were here (early April) it was pretty busy. They’re closing the campground in early April (shortly after our visit) for the entire summer to do work on the place.

For Virgin River Canyon Campground: Can’t beat it for $8. Many spots. Flush toilets and sinks. We pulled in at night and woke up to a beautiful views. Felt safe and quiet. No AT&T service but a little Verizon service in some spots. Met someone living there for $90 a month in an RV.

For Virgin River Canyon Campground: Very nice campground located just off I-15. Plenty of pull thru spots with some backin. Flush toilets and garbage cans. That are not dumped very frequently and get piled up. Nice hiking trail that leads down to the river. We like it here and for $8 a night it's hard to beat the price. I could get 2 bars with Verizon if I was in the right place no att coverage.

For Virgin River Canyon Campground: Gorgeous views, inexpensive, and a convenient place to camp. No cell service at all, as far as we could tell.

Eric

For Virgin River Canyon Campground: This campsite is really, really beautiful!!! You're nestled near the foot of a gorgeous, red mountain and surrounded by desert flora. My only complaint is that a lot if the campsites aren't all that flat, however, this seems to be a very underutilized campground, so you have your pick of the lot!
