Maggie

For Lodge 216: 8 50 amp full hook up sites. Grassy/gravel level sites. Randy, the camp host was extremely helpful. Lodge was very friendly and welcoming. Highway was far enough away that noise didn’t bother us. Quiet area otherwise. $25 a night.

For Lodge 216: Elks Lodge #216 RV Park is small but clean. They have about 8 full hook-up sites and room for several dry campers. They now have a park host living on-site and he is great at helping you pick a site and offering suggestions for things to do in San Antonio. The lodge is only open Wed-Fri but the burgers on Wednesday are great and all the members make you feel right at home. Great place to stay while on the road.

For Lodge 216: Call ahead and coordinate with Alan, the friendly & knowledgeable host. There are 8 FHU sites, but some are tricky to park which is where the host shines. FHU $25,drycamp $10 and decent wifi. Lodge open Wed, Thur & Fri and special occasions. Not a big lodge, but a friendly lodge. Very convenient off 1604. Worked very well for our needs.

For Lodge 216: A little cramped and we had some power issues, but the lodge members were very friendly and helpful. They are in the process igig upgrading their power systems and we got everything squared away for our stay. It easy easy to find but can get rough to get parked. The RVillage host was helpful in getting us into a site. I would arrive before dark so you can see the obstacles.

For Lodge 216: If I could give 0 I would. We arrived on Nov. 9, 2020. We have traveled from Arizona to Washington, Washington to South Carolina, South Carolina to Texas since Feb. 2020. Most Lodges were closed, but welcomed RVers and you just left a donation in a drop box. Those without accommodations happily allowed us to dry camp in their parking lots. We stopped at this lodge and when realizing it was closed, knocked on the door of the obvious camp host. She rudely said that they had been closed since Feb. and then said that Jack hadn’t changed the website yet.( when we said the website never said anything about RV. being closed) This is Nov. and they closed in Feb???? Most lodges would have offered dry camping in their parking lot etc. Not this lady, she just said her piece and slammed her door. So disappointed, worst Elks ever😕

Bill

For Lodge 216: What a joke! All of the sutes are taken up with full timers and long stayers. No room for traveling Elks. Don’t waste your time.

Arizona traveler

For Lodge 216: As of March 1 2018 this place is a disaster! They have allowed a construction trailer to be placed on the property. EVERYTHING is torn up, construction starts at 6 AM lots of noise. Trucks and equipment running right next to you. Back up alarms. No activity at lodge. Sign says building will be completed 2019.
