For Horseshoe Bend RV Campground and Boat Ramp: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Horseshoe Bend RV Park. We stayed on a riverfront site for a week. We were surprised at the lack of cell coverage, but were able to make calls via wi-fi provided by the park if we got close to signal. Loved sitting behind our fifth wheel watching the river and the barges go by. If you’re looking to “unplug and relax†this is your spot.

For Horseshoe Bend RV Campground and Boat Ramp: We've stayed here twice. Once in a 26' Class C and this weekend in a 40' Class A. The road is narrow and windy going to/from. Just take it slow. No bathroom facilities. No cell service. You can get it at the top of the hill though. Love being right on the river watching the barges. Eat at the Overlook restaurant for a beautiful panoramic view of the river. Nice little general store close by too. Will definitely return again.

For Horseshoe Bend RV Campground and Boat Ramp: We stayed here in August 2016 on Site #25 in a motorhome. We followed the directions from the website and even called when we turned off the main road just to make sure we were OK after reading others comments. The road in is narrow but we did not have any problems. The site was level with packed small gravel, fire ring, picnic table, 50 amp, water, sewer. There is a very nice small grassy overlooking the Ohio river behind the site. No cell service from either Verizon or AT&T but wifi was better than common. Very quiet. The attendants were very helpful and we enjoyed chatting with them and appreciate their information on the area.

For Horseshoe Bend RV Campground and Boat Ramp: Traveling back from the west coast in our class B camper we called ahead for reservations for a planned one night stay. Presumably it was the owner who said sites were available, she took our name for a slot and to just show up, end of conversation. What happened was that our GPS took us down a steep, heavily rutted and rocky 4X4 road with absolutely no way to turn around or back up. Arriving at the RV park, we observed damage to the bottom of our camper, leaking from the fresh water tank, gray and black tank, and hot water tank in back. An attendant in a golf cart informed us that 3 others had a like experience the same day and that she would have warned us about that route and directed us the proper way. Furthermore she said she has told the owner to post a warning on the bad road. While the grounds for RV's along the river appeared nice we did not stay do to the need to fix our rig, and my anger towards irresponsible poor communication on the part of the person taking our reservation.
We do not recommend this site, and how it is given 5 stars on allstays is suspect to us. Mike Adams
