For Apollo RV: Nice open campground. Spots relatively close to each other but level and well maintained. Lots of seasonals. Almost didn’t go here because of the one star rating, but it is a one star from someone who had a problem with a dog.
Really a 3 star place but giving it 4 to overcome the one poor revuew.

For Apollo RV: I stayed at Apollo in late May, 2017. As I was setting the camp up, a large, vicious pit bull dog, running loose, attacked a little Chijuajua that was being walked on a leash. Since I had 3 very gentle small dogs, I went to the office to request another site, farther away from the pit bull.
This request was very rudely denied, and I was told by the owners to keep MY dogs under control. When I reminded him that the dog that had been attacked was on a leash, and the pit bull was running loose, the owner shouted me down and told me to stop "Backtalking."
The owner then told me that I could, "Take my happy ass out of there," without a refund. It was obvious they intended to take no action against the pit bull owner, nor to take any action to protect guests and their property.
Later, one of the owners offered to refund HALF of my site rental if I left immediately. I declined that offer, but I will NEVER return to this unsafe property. I had to carry a firearm whenever I walked my dogs because of the out of control fighting dogs housed on the campground.
The Chijuajua was injured with multiple bite punctures. Persons with pets or small children would do well to avoid this campground.
