For Elk Harbor Lakeside RV Park: The owners are some of the nicest you’ll meet. The lake is beautiful but you can’t see it from the campground because it is surrounded by trees that are part of a National Forest Preserve. They have Turken chickens that eat ticks, Guineafowls, and cats to keep away the mice. Most of these sites contain permanent rigs with residents who live or get away here. Site 13 (where we were) has a cut-through that everyone seemed ok to use with no consideration that it was someone else’s site. While they are working to spruce the place up with new electric and water hookups, it still has a long way to go. Our caravan partner’s new electric site’s 50 amp was not working. We loved the owners but this campground was not the park for us. We prefer less permanent units where we stay.

For Elk Harbor Lakeside RV Park: Everyone at Elk Harbor was so welcoming and helpful! They made us feel like old friends on the first day. The owners have put a personal touch on everything here and their hard work shows. The camp grounds are set up well for full timing but a beautifully serene place for a short getaway. We’ll be back for a visit!
