For Hidden Springs - Humboldt Redwoods State Park: Beautiful campground but very steep roads since the whole campground is on the side of a hill.
Also, if you're up hill the smoke from campfires and cooking below you tends to waft up the hill.
Many sites are not level and a very tight fit except for the smallest RVs

For Hidden Springs - Humboldt Redwoods State Park: $35 per campsite was a bit pricey, but when almost everywhere else was full this spot still had availability. Beautiful campground, nice facilities, and private feeling campsites. Really a beautiful spot.

For Hidden Springs - Humboldt Redwoods State Park: We were here in mid June, peak season and this HUGE campground felt empty. We arrived at 7:30 at night and there was wonderful staff at the camp entrance. There are so many areas to camp, it's easy to get lost. Lots of choices. Lots of privacy. Great place for large groups that all want to camp in the same area together.
Because of all the trees, it gets dark fast. We chose a site close to the entrance to get more evening light. Great leveled campsites. The bear box was made out of wood - not sure how well it would protect your food goods from a bear. Lots of showers and bathrooms.

For Hidden Springs - Humboldt Redwoods State Park: Nice place, secluded sites not on top of each other in a big forest. Not crowded when we were there in mid June.
