For Pine Grove - Jonathan Dickinson State Park: We loved staying at this state park. Not much, if any, tree coverage but large (15 ft tall) shrubs between the sites help with privacy. We actually really enjoyed the openness of the site after so many stays in the trees. It let in lots of sun and there was a strong breeze the whole time that kept it cool. Great bathrooms, large private showers and sewage dumps at each site. Will definitely be staying here again next year.

For Pine Grove - Jonathan Dickinson State Park: Fantastic State Park for a weekend get away! We got a new RV and wanted to go some place with full hook ups so we could experience getting it up and running! The Pine Grove area is still sort of open, but sites are big...some shrubs & trees are starting to fill in. VERY clean site...big site areas. Absolutely peaceful at night. Bathrooms and shower houses are very clean, they have coin laundry too for those spearing a few extra days! We will be back! Actually before we left, we booked another weekend here after checking out some sites. We are in 83 and its nice as the sun comes up on our awing side and sets on the opposite side so we don’t get the very hot afternoon sun. Lots to do here too!

For Pine Grove - Jonathan Dickinson State Park: The Pinegrove Campground is pretty much a parking lot. There is no shade, no privacy, it all got blown over in a hurricane some years ago. There are a lot of immature plantings, so in 10 years it'll be good again.

When we were there it was blowing about 30 mph and it never stopped. Not many RVs had their awnings out. Tons of OTA channels and really good LTE with Sprint.

We were in an HC spot, very large, great table/fire ring/grill.

A word of caution: The park literature says it's OK to hike anywhere, the Scrub Club says otherwise. They'll yell at you if you walk on the bike trails. I yelled back, but it was unpleasant.

For Pine Grove - Jonathan Dickinson State Park: Stayed 1/12-1/24/17 in 31ft travel trailer. Site #80.Back-in. Full hookup. Large campsites with good space between sites. Very little vegetation as it was redone a few years ago. No shade not a problem this time of year. Level gravel pads, fire ring,BBQ grill, picnic table, poles for clothesline. Bathhouse clean, hot showers, washer and dryer at each bathhouse($2.50),pop machine. Can hear road noise from Highway 1 and train runs through park but didn't bother us. We hiked and biked in park. Not far from beaches. Activities we liked: Hobe Sound Beach, Hobe Sound Nature center, Blowing Rocks Perserve, FPL Manatee Center. Close to grocery and dining. Had Sprint LTE and many OTA channels.
