For Eagle Cove - Bruneau Dunes State Park: So nice to park where it doesn’t have night lights everywhere. The night sky was unbelievable the stars were so beautiful and bright. Only wish the observatory was open. Stays light until 10:30 every night. If you stay don’t miss the canyon.

For Eagle Cove - Bruneau Dunes State Park: We went to the Eagle Cove site in March 2020 in our toy hauler. It was cool during the day and cold and night and the first night we were there, there was a wind storm powerful enough to scare the kids and make me slightly nervous. We had 30A, so we had a single space heater that kept us comfortable all night, and the water didn’t taste too bad. Dump facilities were cleaner and better setup than I was anticipating (good tilt, concrete pad, both potable and non-potable water available). It is the desert, so lots of sagebrush, no green grass, the windstorm blew in a ton of tumbleweeds, and the view was okay but not great. Our particular spot had plenty of space between us and others but some other lots were crammed pretty close together. The dunes were really interesting and if we’d been there on a weekend, we would have visited the observatory. We’ll be back to do that. Overall, won’t be a “staple†location that we visit all the time, but I can see us returning every year or two.
