For Byers Lakeshore Campground - Denali State Park: Campsites here are wooded, quite private, and quiet with lots of room for larger RV's on the farthest loop. We had a nice pull-through site. The mosquitos were pretty bad while we were there. It did not appear there was a lot of clean-up going on, as our fire pit was full of trash. However, the host seemed very nice and also had campfire wood for sale. It took a bit for us to get level in our site, but ok overall. Yes, the road has lots of potholes, but not too bad. This is a great stop-over if you have reservations in Denali, as it allows you to be early for those first-come, first-served campsites.
