For Big Sage - Lake Cascade State Park: We enjoyed a one-night stay at Big Sage campground on Lake Cascade. There are many campgrounds in the area. We wanted to stay in the Ridgeview campground but it was already full by the time we got in. It happens to be one of the only campgrounds with W/S/E on the sites. Fortunately, the site we landed was wonderful. Great view and lake access with lots of space between our neighbors - more so then Ridgeview. We stayed in space 217 which is pretty much on - and has a direct view - of the lake. There is no shade. This site is dry but there were a couple on this campground with W/E; we just didn’t need it. Vault toilets were very clean. There are no 3rd party rental facilities on-site but that could be bc it’s after Labor Day. We’d stay here again for sure. Cost was $30 USD for out-of-state single site. We had two dogs; they enjoyed the lake!

For Big Sage - Lake Cascade State Park: We (hubby and I) are hosting here from July 4th through Labor Day in 2019. The camp site has paved roads and spurs, with DG pads, a fire pit and table, and a water spigot for each site. There are two sets of two pit toilets in the camp, a shade structure for groups that can be rented or used when not rented, and lots of parking for day use. There are three sites that have electric hookups (224, 226, 228). About 1/2 of the sites face the water, and the rest are on the inland side. There are a few “companion” sites that are set up with two of everything. You can have one RV and two tents per site, companion sites get two tents and two RVs. The bathrooms and camp sites are kept pretty clean (IMHO...as host). The highlights are the beach at this area. Large sandy beaches are easily accessible, and great for lounging, swimming and boating. A boat launch is nearby. Record size perch are caught in the lake. The lake has some rainbows, catfish and large/small mouth bass, too. Down site: this site was developed in a sage area, that gets A LOT of sun. It can be very warm in the early evening. Recommend you bring an extra shade structure for protection as most sites are oriented so that RV awnings just won’t cut it during the peak heat of the day.
