For Little Bluestem - Wilson State Park: We stayed for a night in the Foxtail loop, which seems fairly new and isn’t marked on AllStays. It was great! We had full-hooks, and the site was a long, level pull-thru. We opted for “waterfront†instead of shade, and it was gorgeous. Nice sunset and a very short walk to a beach area. The beach had some shells but the lake bottom was soft and shallow for a long ways out, so it’s great for kids. The lake is beautiful and was a perfect temperature for swimming. The park itself is rural and bucolic - green, rolling hills and wide open spaces. It’s a huge park and everything is spread out, so it was quiet. The signage in the park wasn’t great but once we found our loop, it was easy. It’s an interesting place with one loop much further area with what appeared to be long-termers and storage of RVs and boats. But it was so far away and hidden out of site, that it wasn’t an issue. There are also lots of primitive, dispersed sites. The Foxtail loop was perfect for traditional RVing, though, and there were many nice rigs there. Highly recommend this place for its beauty, water and recreation, ease of use, and proximity to the interstate.
