For Bear Paw - Itasca State Park: Absolutely not recommended due to price for what you get. With the overnight camping fee, reservation fee, and then day use fee (which is NOT mentioned on the website!!) we paid $50 for one night on a site that provided only electricity. There is no water on sites and no sewer. They do have some drinking water stations for you to fill up jugs only. The bathrooms were nice and the sites spacious- although all rough gravel and not very level. It was private and pretty and we booked it for the location, but I was very upset about the price gouging, and will never stay at any more of Minnesota’s state parks.

For Bear Paw - Itasca State Park: A very pretty park. Lots to do and see. The sites are private with trees separating them. They aren’t very level and it can be difficult for big rigs to get into sites around the trees. We were in site 50which was large but not level. They have WiFi We would go back here again.

For Bear Paw - Itasca State Park: this is a wonderful large state park, with a layout and services and historic architecture more like a national park... loads of trails for running, hiking, biking... campground has electric only, but plenty of water spigots around, and dump upon exiting... nice big clean bathrooms... some spots will need some leveling... great park especially for smaller and mid-sized units... overall wonderful... minnesota does it right !

For Bear Paw - Itasca State Park: This campground could use some improvements. First and most problematic are the overhanging branches along the roadways. Get a crew out there to cut them back! There are no water or sewer hookups. Of course, no WiFi either. There is only one dump site for the entire campground. Some of the campsites require skilled maneuvering to get around the large pine trees in the campground. The hiking and biking trails are very nice. The Mississippi Headwaters and visitors center were great.
