For Parkers Creek - Jordan Lake SRA: Cell service good enough to stream tv . Park is almost empty during the week. Loop 3 site 124 was best site for 36 ft class a . Has lake access!!! But it’s a walk up only so when you check in if available ask to be moved.
Had 2 storms and lost power both times. Not for long tho. Could spread the piles of gravel they already have but over all really nice spot. Not far from Durham area .

For Parkers Creek - Jordan Lake SRA: Camping late February park charges normal fee for 30 to 50Amp RV site but when we got there we discovered the water hookups were all turned off. Ranger confirmed all of the water sites were turned off except outside the bath houses. On the upside there was only 3 other people camping in our section.

For Parkers Creek - Jordan Lake SRA: I had Site 55 which, though at the top of the hill, is turned facing down the road and I could see sunrise on the lake from my front window. Reserve America showed the park as sold out but perhaps they just mark a lot of sites off for the winter because there were few other people there. Loops 1-3 are for reservations and loop 4 is first come first serve.
The sites were well spaced apart but short - the big rigs had a challenge fitting their trucks on their spots. The sites were water and electric only. The dump station had two lanes.
The gate locking time is still a mystery to me. Reserve America said the gate locked at 6pm in November. Various parts of the state park website said different things. The flyer I was handed at checkin said 8pm for November, but they still had the street sign up saying 9pm. No, you cannot get a gate code or anything like that. The gate unlocks at 8am.
Verizon's map had the campground painted as "iffy" but I had three bars all the way down to the shore. Another camper told me that any of the campgrounds near the bridge had good wireless signals.
The bathhouse was unheated and worn. The doors on the shower stalls are only waist high.
Jordan Lake is directly in the middle of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill so it is convenient to everywhere. In fact, since the main arteries of The Triangle are shifted off from the lake, it's actually an excellent location for getting places and avoiding traffic. This is one of the cheapest places to camp in the area and definitely a place I would return.
