For Wakara - Palisade State Park: Have stayed here several times in years past but always earlier in the year-June. This year we were there mid August. Being later the reservoir was really low but still enough to paddle board. We stayed in the upper area with hook ups but our site had our door opening up to the hillside. 59/30 amp, water pressure was only 30 psi. $35/night for FHU. We stayed a week in a 42’ fifth wheel.

For Wakara - Palisade State Park: Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Quick and easy access to the adjoining lake, though the lake was really low this time of year (Labor Day weekend). It seems to be a place popular with the family reunions as there were multiple large groups present. While I don't mind that, others should be aware that there is regular noise from ATVs motoring about the campground. You can rent kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, and pedal boats for the lake which the kids enjoyed.
We were in a full hookups spot and no complaints other than there are no fire pits and the water pressure was really low. I am one of those who equates camping with a fire in the evening so not having a fire feels like the camping is missing something. You can rent a fire pit from the check in shack, but they must not have many for rent. The water pressure was so low you basically had to just run the shower head all over your body to get wet.
Other than that it was a great experience and we will return. Next time we'll bring the golf clubs for the kid friendly course.
