For Creekside - Hungry Mother State Park: Charming small campground. All spots in Creekside are now site specific. Access road and roads within campground would be a challenge for larger rigs. Free public wifi a plus since Verizon signal was weak.

For Creekside - Hungry Mother State Park: Very nice state park with extensive grounds and forest around a mountain lake. Hiking trails all around with varying difficulty. Beach and fishing. Campground is in trees and rather tight. One hairpin turn on entrance road. Managed to get our 40’ MH in, barely. Tucked between two trees with 6†to spare on each side. Roads and sites paved, grass and trees between. Some sites right on a delightful fishing stream.

For Creekside - Hungry Mother State Park: Spent 2 nights at Creekside site #10. The sites are paved but not necessarily level. Utilities (20/30 amp) and water worked fine and the site was clean. Bathrooms clean with 4 separate shower ares. Laundry room. Ice and firewood available from host. The host and all the park employees were very friendly. Walk-in are allowed after 4 pm but ONLY for the non-site specific spaces. Site specific spaces are 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 7 and 8. Seven and 8 are pull thrus but it would be easy to back into 5 and 4. You can make a reservation for site specific spaces, they are $3 more and you can pick your site. Host is in #20. You can also make a reservation for a non-site specific space, but you cannot pick your site - it's first come first serve. It was the 1st of August and we didn't have to use the A/C. The 2 rows closest to the creek get the most shade. Lots to do in the park, hiking (great trails), biking, swimming, paddle boat and kayaking. Dump station for the campground is at the check in center. Max length 35"

For Creekside - Hungry Mother State Park: We recently spent three wonderful days at Loop B (Creekside Campground). Very nice sites with privacy, some of them right along the creek. Some of the sites have to be reserved...you can't stay in them as a walk up even if they are empty, but reserving through Reservations.gov is relatively painless and a necessary evil if you do public campgrounds. Utilities worked fine. The bathhouse was clean and provide private showers. There are great hiking trails here, and boating and swimming in season. There is a restaurant for in season also. We will return.
