For Magnolia Beach Parking: Beautiful spot to camp at right on the beach. Since we visited in January 2 - 8 2022 bathrooms where great so we didn’t have to use our composting toilet. It was so nice seeing so many different rigs here. There are many places to park if it’s not busy. Yes it is free but you don’t have water or electric. Completely off grid and welove it!

For Magnolia Beach Parking: Stayed two nights in our Class A. Need to be fully self contained. Many campers, but quiet. Some fishermen, but it was really windy. Hard packed shells, were no issue for weight, but going through little town to get to the beach was interesting. Really enjoyed it. Had to pick up some trash, but clean for the most part. Good boondocking site. No services at the site.

For Magnolia Beach Parking: Love the area... you need to be ready to be self contained to stay awhile but well worth it. Like full water, food, propane, etc. We couldn’t leave to go pick up things if we run out but didnt need to. Pick up after yourself when you leave so others may enjoy also. Yes totally free and weather goes up and down. But very beautiful...

SLAMMER

For Magnolia Beach Parking: As described in the many good reviews below. We entered the beach area 1/2 mile from boat ramp.We parked Parallel along the waters edge. A County dump truck driver stop by to let me know that you must park perpendicular to the water as he said the signage stated at entrances. I thanked him and moved trailer to aproved manner of parking. (Head or tail towards water) I did look up the rules online as there was no signage at the entry point we used. I wad able to get other helpful rules such as 11 PM quiet time (No excessive noise), dogs must be on leash & haul your own garbage out. This is a hard shelled beach as the county is adding height to beach currently. (2 Dump trucks hauling sand from boat ramp area working south) We enjoyed the non-crowded beach during our stay the first week in February 2022

For Magnolia Beach Parking: Stayed at Magnolia Beach in March 2018 and liked it so much I had to return. It was cold and windy but it was great to be able to park by the water. I didn’t use the facilities because I’m self contained so I can’t report on them. There were a number of loud dogs this time. Great boondockers spot and the price Free!

Jim Brown

For Magnolia Beach Parking: We found this place to be UTTERLY MESMERIZING! It was only the second place we stayed in our Class B campervan since we sold our house 2 weeks ago, and went full-time. We’ll never forget it! We stayed 4 days, and wish we could have stayed longer. Think the beauty of Matagorda Bay, the breeze, the sea birds ... and sand so hard-packed that it really is like concrete. We parked 20 yards from the water each night. No problem with high tides. And it’s FREE! Our first Boondocking experience! We had no issues between our underhood generator, lithium batteries and what a great place for our 250 watts of solar to charge daily! We’re going back soon. Stay as long as you want! We met people from all over the country, happy, and wintering there!
