For Chimney Creek Campground: This place is super remote! 36 empty camp sites just us and one other camper early May 2018. We drove our 24ft RV up the long, winding, kinda dangerous road and suffered the washboard gravel last 3 miles. Nothing special here. Super quiet of course. If you're hiking the PCT this is for you I guess, otherwise, skip it. No water, lots of dry toilets tho, fire rings, and ample picnic tables. The forest is dry and dead looking, lots of burn areas.

For Chimney Creek Campground: They last 5 miles is windy washboard dirt. Miles of burnt Forrest right up to the campsite. Narrow road in campground with overhanging trees. Poorly maintained. In September creeks were all dry. Lower in the valley we saw green fields. The campground is neglected. It is very quiet and campsites are far apart.
