For San Jon Park: Great place and it’s free. Nice little playground near by for our kids. Daily quiet and set off the road a bit. Just a really nice park. The driveway coming out is a little steep but manageable with our Tow Rig and TT at 55’+ length.

For San Jon Park: Great place to stay a night while passing through. Free parking with decent restroom, no shower and no hookups. Parking is good as long as it’s dry. We stayed and it one night and it started raining and we left just so there was no chance of getting stuck as the ground was getting pretty soggy.

For San Jon Park: Perfect overnight for us because it was clean, quiet, free, pet friendly & we easily parked our 52 ft rig (30 ft RV + toad). Picnic tables with roof & bathhouse (might be closed, we didn't check) are a bit run-down but we appreciate the free hospitality of this small town. Our cat could safely venture out for a bit & post office across the street was a bonus.

For San Jon Park: Everyone has different priorities for rating campgrounds. This one earned stars for quiet and free. We were on our way from TX to AZ, looking for a quiet place for a quick overnight. It was perfect- just a couple of blocks from I-40, very quiet, well lit, easy pull thru. The bathrooms were closed (for winter, per sign), but we didn't need. There is a park with playground next door.

For San Jon Park: Let it be known that I'm guessing in the winter (it's mid-November) the toilets are locked. But the run-down area is well lit, which makes it feel a little less sketchy.
