For Chief Mt South - BLM: Oct 2020 - Stayed 3 nights. Easy 0.3 mile drive from highway with our 28ft class C. Get 1-2 bars of AT&T 4G. Beautiful & peaceful. Campground is a base camp for extensive OHV trails in the area, so during the day several trucks and groups of off-roaders will come by, set up and take off on the trails. Not too noisy as they don't stay in the vicinity. While we were here only two other vehicles stayed overnight. Entire campground is gently sloped, not many level areas so getting level is difficult, but not impossible. Campsites have tables and firepits, but no fires were allowed when we stayed. Vault toilets, no water. Garbage cans available, which is nice for BLM.
