Dennis

For Peacock Meadows RV Park: Pulled in there with a class B motor home. Was turned away because their policy is not to except van’s.

David

For Peacock Meadows RV Park: Clean and well kept park. Sites are quickly gone over when a camper leaves for the next guest. My dogs enjoyed the fenced in dog area. There were wood chips covering the ground to keep the dogs free of any mud. The staff was super friendly. I would stay here again.

Larry

For Peacock Meadows RV Park: First visit to South Park area. This was a great choice for our 6 night stay. Centrally located for a host of activities. Park was well managed and well maintained. Outstanding dog park, fishing in private pond or in the adjoining Rio Grande. Sites are close but well staggered for good sense of privacy. Full hookups and Big Rig accessible. Will definitely return here and recommend it to others. We stayed in a 32’ 5th wheel.

DaVida

For Peacock Meadows RV Park: Two years new park, spacious sites, all FHUs, helpful friendly staff, immaculate bathrooms (2), laundry (2). Rio Grande borders campground thru a wetland. A saloon-style gathering spot for activities 5 nights, including live music and dancing on Fridays. Plenty of hiking nearby, ATVs parked next to rigs. But, WIND! prevented putting out awnings for shade from the relentless SUN! Such low humidity, good for drying clothes but hard on the lungs - bring a humidifier.

Where We Dockin

For Peacock Meadows RV Park: Easy access off the main road, our pull through site was plenty wide and we liked how the sites were staggered so that your neighbors were set back slightly (at least at our spot - 34). The sites are gravel with small trees, picnic table, fire pit and no grass. This must be a relatively new park. The trees are small and still developing. Therefore they don’t provide much privacy (but the staggered sites help) or break the wind well (and we had a lot of wind here during our stay). The fishing pond isn’t large (bring your own gear) and we hoped for a longer path along the river (it’s really just a short walk through a makeshift route) but it was nice to have the water within walking distance - the river and the pond were great for pictures and overall ambience. There is a decent sized grocery store close that we took advantage of several times. If you’re a Verizon user, you’ll be ecstatic if connectivity is important to you. We had 5 bars throughout our stay. WiFi was mostly good but did have some inconsistencies. When we needed consistent connection, we used our hotspot. Overall it was a good stay but we were ready to leave when it was time due to the wind/dirt. We would recommend this park though.

Rick

For Peacock Meadows RV Park: Clean, well maintained park. Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy reservations. Had fun visiting with other campers at the on-site saloon where we purchased alcoholic drinks. Easy access to the river (wished I had my fishing gear).

ZoraK9

For Peacock Meadows RV Park: This is an extremely nice RV park, run by extremely nice people. Facilities are modern and spotless, and sites are well-spaced. Access to river is great for walking dog or fishing. Newly planted trees are too small to offer any privacy or block road noise right now, but in a few years they will make an already nice park even nicer.
