For Falcon County Park: We just stumbled onto this county park on our way to check out the Falcon State Park. The state park costs $16/night + $3 per person but this county park was free. There were water hookups and no real site plan so you could just camp anywhere. There were other campers but it's big enough that you could be away from others. There were a few goat-head stickers that the dogs had to contend with and there were Javalina's off in the brushy areas surrounding so you'll not want to let your dogs stray too far. They tell me there are rattle snakes, scorpions and tarantulas in the summer but we saw no signs when we were here (in Jan 2019). We talked with some folks who come and stay for several months because they like it so munch.

For Falcon County Park: Good quiet free abandoned county park, water hookup at every site, watch for sharp thorns in the grass. Don’t hook up to the hydro plug at the Gazebo, someone came around in the night and cut the end off our power cord! We could only get 3 TV channels. Lots of Border security in the area.
