For Buds Place RV Park: Location, just outside of town. Large pull-thru sites, no shade, shared picnic table, fire pit & grill. Sites were back to back so you didn't have to walk out on to your neighbor's sewer hookups. Well maintained & clean facilities & grounds. Wifi was good. OK value we thought.

For Buds Place RV Park: Bud's Place could be a lot better if the staff got an injection of ambition. The bathrooms are new, but they are dirty and weren't cleaned during our two-day stay. In the Men's bathroom, there were four stalls, but three of them were out of order. None of them had toilet paper. There are many people who work in the oil industry there and are staying on a permanent basis. In itself, that isn't bad, but there was a lot of trash around. For example, our small site had a plastic coathanger that was half-buried in the mud and wooden gate that you use to prevent children from going down-stairs. When we arrived there were four people in the office. But they all went to lunch shortly after, and the next people had to wait for over an hour before they could register. Apparently the concept of staggering the lunch breaks never occurred to them. During our stay, there was a heavy rainstorm which resulted in small lakes (large enough to have ripples when the wind blew) in front of both the rest-rooms and the office. Every morning there were a few campers who felt the need to let their diesel trucks warm-up for 30 minutes beginning about 4:30 am. I am old and have hearing loss, but it still woke me up.
On the bright side we stayed here because the KOA north of town wanted to charge us $75.00 a night or a "patio site". Bud's was $40.00.

For Buds Place RV Park: This park was great! Wide open lots that are easy to maneuver. One of our kids got sick and we had to stay an extra night. They were super accommodating and helpful. We didn’t use any of the amenities but everything seems nice and clean.

For Buds Place RV Park: Basic pea gravel parking lot with a small tree at each site. Definitely the best option in Carlsbad. Employees were helpful and friendly and amenities were very nice. Close to town and stores about 30 minutes from Carlsbad Caverns.

For Buds Place RV Park: Good place but call ahead for sure. Just expanded and enlarged. Majority of sites are longer term workers, most likely in the oil industry which is booming, especially just south in Texas. Guy registering ahead of me is “6 months for sure, probably over a year and maybe more. Best job I’ve got in yearsâ€. Big sites. Flat gravel. New shower & laundry building. They do welcome the one day to one or two week visitor. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

For Buds Place RV Park: This is a newly opened RV park. The sites are gravel and level pull throughs, with spacious areas between. Interestingly, RVs pull in from the opposite direction from neighbor, so two share a grassy area, with doors facing each other. Very neighborly. Landscaping is yet to be completed; there is some grass and small trees, yet to fill out. While a bit rough right now, Bud's Place will be awesome when completed. The manager Nicole is very efficient and accommodating.
