For Diamond Lakes Regional Park: We had site 24 which was amazing! Otherwise the bathrooms were pretty clean but so much is broken or missing. But they did have plenty of hot water. The septic system was flooded behind the bathrooms. Anyone can come into the park anytime. No one is on site, so no help on arriving or anything else. We have such mixed feelings on this campground. It’s a great city park with a lot of amenities(basketball, baseball, playground, tennis courts etc). Paved roads with full hookups. Not all sites are level.

For Diamond Lakes Regional Park: This is a very beautiful park and I recommend it but, my experience there was not good. There is no office to check in so you better know your site number before you arrive. There are no signs directing you to the camp once you enter the park. We had site 6 on the pull thru loop. The power there did not work on 50amp, 30amp or 110 circuit. The power didn't work on site 7 either. We were the only campers on that particular loop. I have a circuit analyzer and an expensive surge guard but the surge guard tripped even thought the circuit analyzer showed ok. I spent several hours trying to figure out the problem and talking on the phone with the park people who insisted the power did work; it didn't. We finally moved to the other section of the park to a back in spot, hooked up and the electric worked fine. We are not newbies and we were on a long trip. This was our only bad stay. It is a beautiful park and I hope you have better luck the US.

For Diamond Lakes Regional Park: Directions per maps stopped you at the entrance or the park. Keep straight past library, ,community center and lake will be on your left. Turn left into campground just past lake. Beautiful, well maintained sites and community park. Only negative, water on opposite side of hookups. Beware of ticks, found one on wife next morning. . Great price $28.50 with senior discounts.

For Diamond Lakes Regional Park: Virtually new 2018 campground. Availability on an early August weekend was exceptional. We got a prime lakeside site at 2:00PM on a Friday for a one night stay. There is virtually no advertising about this location. Only found it on Allstays. Nice large sites with water and 20/30/50 electric tenting sites are also available. $28.50 with booking fee and a $5 senior discount through Reserve America only as I was told by the person who answered the phone. Great spot. 20 minutes South of Augusta, GA.

Phil

For Diamond Lakes Regional Park: Restrooms were clean. Visited in early April so the summer season had not kicked in. As a result, there was only a handful of campers there. Lots were nice sized. Restrooms were clean. Waterfront lots are the nicest, but all were pretty nice. Very quiet (in April). One concern is security. Although I had no issues, the rules state that entry must be before dusk and that the gates re-open the next morning. The gates never closed. The park is quite a distance off the road, but if a security issue arose it seems you are pretty much on your own. No host on site, gates open and in an isolated area.
