For River Raisin Marina and Campground: I stayed here with 2 buddies for 3 months for work. Veronica and John were extremely nice and accommodating. Stated hearing stories about her adding a bunch of extra charges to other campers and a bunch of the long term people were constantly leaving. She didn’t add anything on us first month but the 2nd month she was trying to add a bunch of charges for motorcycle storage and trailer storage neither of which I had up there. So we agreed on a flat rate with electrical included. She then sent me a bill the final month with electric added. I advised them that wasn’t what we agreed to and she apologized and sent me the flat rate with a pool added. Once again I did not buy a pool or fill on up but she was sure gonna charge me for it. So I decided to leave. I was cleaning up my campsite the manager Ron was there talking to me while I was. We left some decks we built and a few things because one of the guys from the group was staying and gonna use it. Ron said don’t worry about it. I did stay a day over the time I came in Ron went to John and John said that for 50bucks for extra day they would refund my electrical deposit. I was informed after I left that I would not be getting that back after all. The manager of campground said I was good but apparently the greedy owners didn’t think so. I have included pictures of the text messages. Just do some research and read reviews on this place. There are better options Lord willing, kc campground I have stayed at both and can say this places are run by honest decent people. Thought I would be able to say that about the rent raisen but I can not.

For River Raisin Marina and Campground: This place is mediocre at best. We rolled in and went to the “office” which is a run down trailer. It was locked and nobody answered the door. We called the owner and she “forgot “ to tell the “manager” we were coming and he was out in town at lunch. After :45 the owner finally got on the phone and talked us into our site. Laundry took two cycles to dry in a squeaky run down dryer. The “manager” was doing his laundry and said it took him three cycles to dry his....... the showers are great....if no one is doing laundry, if so, the hot water runs out. Good points, quiet with a great view of the power plant.

For River Raisin Marina and Campground: My wife is a travel nurse and we opted to stay at this camp ground during her most recent contract. Quiet. She works overnight so sleeping during the day is a must. The park as a lot of residents there and mostly everyone works overnight. There is a factory across the river but no disruption to the view and no noise. Resident deer wander through the park daily and we saw bald eagles flying around and diving for fish. Bathhouse is sufficient. Laundry is on site and affordable at $1 to wash and $1 to dry. Would stay there again if we are in the area. Town is cute and safe. We enjoyed the shopping at Alde and Walmart as needed. Rode bikes from the site daily to the state park that is close by. Great 10 mile loop!

For River Raisin Marina and Campground: Stayed one night in my truck camper on December 2, 2019. Probably not the time to see the campground at its best. Gravel sits (site 7) not very straight and among the trees. On the water with a giant factory type building on the other side. Appeared to have a number of full timers that did not appear very prosperous. Not many campground open in the area and convenient for my purposes. Close to the interstate so plenty of the usual road noise. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bathhouse not open so no impression. Good Verizon service did not check on WIFI. I would recommend you check it out before you commit to staying here for any length of time,charged me $40 for the night.
