Getting there
Fremont NF, From the Paisley Ranger District Office, go 12 mi north of Paisley. Turn left on FR 29 Government Harvey Road. Go 10 mi to the junction with FR 2901 and Summer Lake viewpoint. Stay on Road 29 for 2 more miles. At paved T junction with FR 28, stay to the right. Go 3.6 mi to the junction with FR 30. Stay left at paved Y intersection. Go 3 mi on FR 30 to the turnoff marked Pikes Crossing Recreation Area. It is 0.5 mi from here to the campsites along the river.
