Getting there
From Niland Hwy 111 turn on Main which turns into Beal. When you see Salvation Mountian, (you will know it when you see it, you will be close and it may look a bit seedy at first) turn right on LoW road, go a few blocks and park anywhere that looks open. Near the LoW camp is safe and clean. Use caution in other areas and you may want to do some online research about Slab City first.
