Getting there
From Walsenburg, travel east on CO Hwy 10 for 17 miles then turn north onto County Road 123, across from the Apishapa State Wildlife Area sign. Go 4.5 mi, staying left at the junction with the old schoolhouse. At the next Y intersection stay right. Follow the road to its end to arrive at the Kenner Ranch/Wilson Crossing East trailhead. Trailer parking with hitching rails, high line posts and a corral are available.
