For Kirtland AFB FamCamp: We arrived after hours and there was a little confusion as to registering but nothing major. We stayed in the older section, nice roomy sites. All hookups worked well, bath house looks to be clean. We stayed in a 30 foot Airstream, can'the beat the price and do not wait until late in the afternoon, the available spaces start filling up around 1600. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

For Kirtland AFB FamCamp: Stayed here in 38' MH. Unfortunately was cold and snowed due to El Ni o. Stayed here 5 days and days were in 30s and all nights in low 20s with one night down to 16! Spots are gravel and level with good electric (20/30/50) at & $18 p/night. Each slot has picnic table. Has WiFi but very slow and if more people were here would be unusable. Didn't use bathrooms, showers, or washing machine and dryer so can't rate those items but building looks good from outside. No trees and not a lot of room between slots. They sell LPG if needed. Check in was quick and pleasant. I would stay here again and would recommend. Next stop Nellis AFB for a month.

For Kirtland AFB FamCamp: Went tent camping... Only 2 spaces. The NM weather was great for camping and the site clean and only $6 a day. Friendly staff. Laundry .75 wash/dry and bathrooms were well cleaned daily. Great view of the Sandia mountain and of the desert.

For Kirtland AFB FamCamp: Maybe I'm spoiled after staying at the Air Force Academy, and multiple stays at Davis-Monthan Agave Gulch Famcamp. Here the office is a hole in the wall! Apparently this base does not consider the amount of money they can take in from the retirees and active duty personnel that would stay here. The person in the office acted more like I was bothering them. Maybe I was, it appeared I interrupted her lunch. No computer, no id verification, old fashion fill out the paper, drivers license number, physical address, not mailing address. Airmen at the gate wouldn't even tell me the best way to go to get to the Famcamp. I made the mistake of coming in the wrong gate! Just because I'm staying one night, I'm going to guess is the reason I don't get a map of the base or anything that tells me anything about the area, which in turn makes me not want to make this a destination, only a stopover.

For Kirtland AFB FamCamp: We have stayed here twice. The facilities are first class (hookups) and everything works here. The pricing is reasonable. The services are close by. I wish more hookups had trees by them BUT only a year ago did they add a lot of hookups so the trees will have to wait. I highly recommend this camp.
