Kathy Shelton

For KOA Journey Grants: This place is awesome ! The owners were super nice as soon as I walked in. Even gave us fresh cookies ! Then delivered our meal right to our door . The trail through the lava field was awesome , let alone you are surrounded by beautiful mountains with a beautiful sunset. We highly recommend this place to everyone. We camped here overnight in a 40’ Fleetwood providence pulling a Jeep rubicon. Love it !!

Sally

For KOA Journey Grants: Great cookies. Friendly owners. I think they mean we’ll. But here’s why I will absolutely never return: You can’t expect to combine a horse corral with an RV park and not have customers scratching their head. We spent the evening swatting numerous FLIES out of our motor home. We think they also invaded our under compartments, because as I write this, we’re 5 hours away from Grants and we’re STILL swatting flies. Never again.

Big Sur Ridgewalker

For KOA Journey Grants: Grant KOA
Dated but functional. Hosts are friendly and helpful.
Shower room is drafty and cool. Shower stall small and inconvenient. Hookups water pressure low. Only limited Wi-Fi - only two devices allowed (my wife and I have five). Gravel parking lot with not much space between sites. A couple of trees, no grass. Some distant sound of traffic and railroad. We rushed to get out by 11:00 but they did not enforce the rule out by 11:00 AM or we charge you another night but it is November and the lot is empty so don't count on it.
Continental breakfast is simple cereal etc. they stop serving dinners October 31 so we did not get one.

Bicycle mom

For KOA Journey Grants: We camp in tents and am I glad we asked for a site with power. We were away from the big lighted KOA sign over the highway. Tent sites are on gravel but we were able to stake our tent without any problems. Dinner & pie were great and delivered right to our campsite! There are horses just north of the campground. During the night, it sprinkled & I could smell the hay on the other side of the privacy fence. There is a collapsed basalt bubble near the entrance and the staff can tell you about the geology of the area. Clean facility & friendly staff.

Ginger

For KOA Journey Grants: Stayed here last night. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating! We look for pet friendly parks and this one was, with a small off leash area but a large walking area. The showers were older and small, but immaculately clean. They also offer a cooked dinner option delivered to your RV. We did not use this service since we already had planned to cook. They also offer a continental breakfast (included in the price) but as nice as they are to offer this, I wouldn't bother next time (stale donuts, cereal, powered cream for coffee......), but perhaps I am just a snob! They also try and park every other spot (when they are not too busy) which is nice. They also offer a small rig discount (our RV is 24 feet). I will definitely put this on my favorites list for future cross country travels!

HowMar

For KOA Journey Grants: Wonderful place to stay. We stayed on an end site (16) so we had shade and a wide open view of the beautiful countryside. Managers very helpful. Price includes a continental breakfast.
