For Raton Pass Camp and Cafe: Great stay! Clean bathrooms and shower. The bathhouse has painted wildlife tracks. So cute. We only stayed one night on our way to Antonio CO area. We initially booked a back-in sight. We were almost here and decided to ask if there was a pull-through to save work. I texted them and they texted back that they move us right to a pull-through. No problem. :)

For Raton Pass Camp and Cafe: Owner (Rhonda) really rude. Asked question about COVID restriction changes by governor day before and she blew up. Was incredibly rude and then just said she was going to cancel our reservations. Just trying to be mean I guess. She did cancel on us, even though we quietly told her that's not what we wanted. Fortunately, Rover Pass refunded our deposit in full. Owners have anger management issue evidently based on my experience. Will never stay there.

For Raton Pass Camp and Cafe: Don’t recommend if any chance your plans might change. Web site says $20 charge if cancel less than 3 days out. I cancelled 2 weeks out because of COVID. My refund wasn’t processed until about 3 days out and I was charged $20. I was then told by the manager that the charge is made no matter when you cancel because of cc fees, just before she hung up on me. Having the charge may not be unreasonable. Changing the process and hanging up on customers, is not reasonable. It may be a beautiful park but seems a very stressful place right now.

For Raton Pass Camp and Cafe: In theidst of the pandemic, this place was an oasis for us. The upper spots have an amazing view ..it was a wonderful to start the day with such a sight. The facilitie were closed due to COVID but we are self contained so not an issue. Rhonda and the camp hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. There is road construction at this time but the view was worth it and there was minimal noise. Our dog also enjoyed the short naturecwslks. We will definitely revisit this park!

For Raton Pass Camp and Cafe: We are so grateful for this place. We were moving to New Mexico with our camper, Uhaul, and 3 dogs in 100 degree weather. They gave us a pull through spot with extra parking. They called and texted us to check our progress to be sure we had instructions Incase we arrived after hours. It was at least 20 degrees cooler up there and the view was gorgeous. The showers were very clean and pretty. The WiFi was just enough to sign paperwork for the purchase agreement on our home. Thank you for being exactly what we needed that day. But it it’s so beautiful up there and the smell of cooking from the cafe will definitely bring us back up for a longer stay sometime.

For Raton Pass Camp and Cafe: It’s worth staying here just for the view. We stayed on the upper loop in the views of the mountains were spectacular. Sites are fairly close together. Bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities were all nice and clean. Wi-Fi was OK for emailing and simple Google searches. We will definitely stay here again next time through.

For Raton Pass Camp and Cafe: My husband and I stayed here for one night, 4 days before they closed for the season. Rhonda, the owner of 16 years, was very friendly and offered us plenty of recommendations of food and things to do in the area. The RV spots were clean and came with a picnic table. The views were great and the air was fresh! We had our dog, he loved the area! There was construction on the interstate during our stay, which provided a bit of noise, but nothing terrible. Rhonda mentioned they use a fresh spring for water, which made the water pressure lower than normal. We definitely noticed. We did not get very good water pressure. I recommend using the bathhouse for showering, it was very clean and the water pressure was much better! The only other thing I recommend that they improve is their internet service. She mentioned several times that the internet is intended for e-mailing, absolutely no streaming. After a long day on the road, we would’ve loved watching some Netflix before bed, but again, no streaming allowed, such a bummer! If we ever stayed here long term, it would be awesome to have better internet. Overall, I would recommend this place! Very clean, friendly staff, and beautiful views. We paid $38.19 for a 50 amp, pull-through spot for one night.
