For The Oaks At Point South RV Resort: Thousand Trails only. We stopped by to get water and they declined because it is members only. They had no way to charge us.

For The Oaks At Point South RV Resort: Campground Name: The Oaks at Point South
Location: Yemassee, SC
Overall Campground Rating (1-5): 3
Maneuverability*: It was easy getting in our site and around the campground with our trailer, but we couldn’t pull out of our pull-through site due to a tree and had to back out of it.
Campground Notes: There is a nice hiking trail around the lake. It was a nice, quiet campground even though it is minutes from the highway.
Site #: 11
Site Rating (1-5): 2
Site Notes: Full hook-up pull-through site with a picnic table. Enough room for our trailer with our truck in front. Due to a tree we couldn’t pull through our pull-through spot and had to back out of it.
Amenity Rating (1-5): 3
Amenity Notes: Cheap, decent laundry ($1.75 for wash, $1.75 for dry). There was a pool but it was closed for the season.
Reason for camping here: Proximity to 95 heading South to Florida.
Miscellaneous Notes: Lots to do in the area – Beaufort 30 minutes away (Crystal Lake Park, Pigeon Point Park, Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park), Hilton Head 1 hour (Coligny Beach), Savannah 1.5 hours (Forsythe Park, Fox & Fig Café). Charleston is also 1.5 hours away and we want to check it out next time we are there. Also want to check out Hunting Island.
Dates Stayed: 11/15/2020 – 11/30/2020
Price Paid: $0, with Thousand Trails membership
Weather: Gorgeous, Highs in the mid-70s
Verizon Cell Quality**: Excellent cell quality, averaging 62.8 Mb/s down and 12.5 Mb/s up
Mail: We did not have anything shipped to this campground
* For reference we are pulling a 33’ long Jayco travel trailer with a 2016 F350 Crew Cab Short Bed 4x4 which is 22’ with hitch giving us a total length of 55’.
**For reference we have two Google Pixel 2 XL on Verizon ‘Play More†unlimited data plans. For data we have an Inseego 8800L on Verizon’s expired prepaid unlimited hotspot plan. In areas of low signal we use a Netgear 6000450 MIMO antenna. Measurements are taken using the “Multi†test on Speedtest by Ookla.

For The Oaks At Point South RV Resort: Just a dump. We are in site 1. We barely fit. Slide opens with an inch to spare. Water, electric and sewer are 2 feet in front of the RV. Electrical connection and water stretched to max. Rock and dirt site. Very tiny site. All for the bargain price of 65$. You will be happier anywhere else. Literally.

For The Oaks At Point South RV Resort: We pulled in here in our 43 foot RV pulling a 4 door Jeep. We had read the previous reviews. A lot of work has been done here making the roads solid and the sites very firm. We pulled right into a pull through site that allowed extra room for our RV with the Jeep attached. The lady that took our registration was very warm, nice and knowledgeable. This is a shaded location which I thought added our comfort. The electric boxes looked new and I ran our 3 ACs to see if there was any low voltage problems and there were none. I found the site that I was in to be longer and wider than most. I doubt if I can fit into the RV camp down the road. We will stay here again. There were quite a few campers here. So I think it is popular with the locals. All the people around me were very nice.

For The Oaks At Point South RV Resort: I knew what I was getting into so I wasn’t too disappointed... I just needed a place to stay on my Thousand Trails membership. I did my tanks before arriving so I didn’t have to put out any hoses in the mud. My neighbor was inches away with my sewer connection right at their door. The trees were very tight. The only plus is that oddly the Verizon data signal is stronger here than at the KOA next door that is closer to the freeway, though still only usable with a booster.

For The Oaks At Point South RV Resort: This was a mistake from the gitgo! Very poor guest relations. We were not given PA discount and the manager was unwilling to correct the issue. No recommendation for this campground!!!!

For The Oaks At Point South RV Resort: Small campground but even though the roads are narrow, quite maneuverable for a big rig. Level. Water 60psi and 165ppm. There are three signs into the campground that says cable and WiFi. No WiFi. None... too many trees for my dish so I had to use my Verizon hotspot. Over the air channels weren’t too bad. All in all, an ok place to camp for a few days. Kids and barking dogs, campers out late around midnight, light partying.
