For San Jon Park: I echo previous reviews. Easy to find, quiet, felt safe, gas was cheaper at nearby Valero. Interesting to see the old Rte 66 buildings. This is out of the park’s control, but it would be nice if people cleaned up after their dogs!

For San Jon Park: Echoing all of the prior reviews - this is such a nice thing fir San Jon to offer this park free to overnight guests. There is really nothing to do in San Jon, so other than filling your gas tank, there is not much else to spend your money on. Located 1/2 mile off Hwy 40, so very minimal road noise. Was surprised to see how clean the bathroom was and how litter free the park was overall. There is no water spigot available, so be sure to bring enough water with you to last overnight. There is running water in the bathroom (flush toilet and sink), so you could fill a bucket in a pinch. Great Verizon and Visible cell service.

For San Jon Park: Great free overnight spot! Extremely quiet, pulled in late at night and only 2 other campers there. There was a playground which was great for the kids in the morning. Clean facilities as well. Definitely will stay there again when In the area.

For San Jon Park: This is my third stay at the city park. I usually top off my fuel tank and buy needed supplies at San Jon stores to express my appreciation. Thanks again San Jon.

For San Jon Park: Nice free city campground. Good for off grid overnight Tent and RV camping. Interstate and nearby road noise but not too bad. Clean bathrooms. Walked around town a bit. Gas stations but did not see any stand alone restaurants or grocery stores nearby.

For San Jon Park: Nice free City Park camping. There were about 6 campers, one motorhome. Clean bathrooms with water and flush toilets. Close to freeway for easy access. If you are a light sleeper park in the back because there are rumble strips on the road in front of park.

For San Jon Park: Easy place off of I-40. Clean. Flat. Restrooms closed but clean portalet provided. Concrete picnic tables and grill. Quiet. So very nice of this little town to provide such a nice spot for travelers. We stayed one night. Only camper in park.
