For Hitchin Post Corral and Campground: Enthusiastic newer owners doing many renovations. The sites were level but a little tightly spaced, although for a transit stopover they were sufficient. From the Allstays map it looks like this campground has a little space from I-10, but be forewarned it's directly adjacent. The I-10 noise was noticeable and therefore subtracts one star. At $40/night it's on the high side for what is essentially a stopover/transit stay, there subtract one more star.

Lori
For Hitchin Post Corral and Campground: We read the reviews and based on them, we decided to stop here. A very quaint, nice, down home park. The owners clearly work hard to make this park comfortable and nice for their guests! They are extremely nice and personally meet you at your vehicle. They lead you to a site and place the welcome mat at your door. They have all kinds of rec. toys for use and 2 fenced dog parks. We did not care that they don't have a bathhouse as we don't use them.

Mr Salsa
For Hitchin Post Corral and Campground: This park is beautiful and the owners are amazing. Complimentary firewood and a mat for your door to keep the sand out of your camper. Bunnies all over, a corral for horses and room for big horse trailers. There's fishing and lots of trees too. No showers or bathrooms and more mosquitoes in the area than I'd prefer, but I'd definitely stay again. And longer

Kj
For Hitchin Post Corral and Campground: Great place for a overnight stay the owners couldn't be more friendly or helpful. When they escort you to your site they make sure the power is off at the box and even put down a door mat for you. It easy to get in and out and there is a loves truck stop right there too.

Gordon Sanders
For Hitchin Post Corral and Campground: This little campground is a jewel. It's right off the interstate and 1/4 mile from a Love's truck stop. There is a lot of road noise if your site is on the North side of the park. The reason it's a 5 star in my book is the attitude of the owners and the quality of the hookups. The power pedestals are new and they're lit at night making it easy if you come in late. The owners meet you at the gate and help you get setup at your site. Because of the sandy ground they provide a mat to help keep the sand out of your RV. Wonderful place to overnight on the road!

Mac
For Hitchin Post Corral and Campground: Quiet, nice pond to walk around, two dog parks. Nice lighted hookups. Fun fairy type gardens, fun decorations, and a center area for activities. We have a class C and backed in easily to our spot. This is right off the highway, but quiet spots are available. We arrived late. If you arrive late, there is a little awning just past the entrance from the road. A motion sensor light will have you stop. The awning is to the right. I think you can pay there, but to be sure we called the owner.
