For Hitchin Post Corral and Campground: Well worth the stop. We were enroute to El Paso, TX, from the Tampa area. We are in a 40' 5th wheel with 3500 Silverado. It was raining but Vonda, an owner, met us at the truck so we didn't even get out to register. We didn't have our Passport America membership and paid about $40 instead of the PA rate nearer $25. Vonda escorted us to a level pull through site and provided a door mat so we didn't have to get ours out. The roads are packed sand and shell so, while wet, were solid. Great power hookup poles 30/50 amp and water pressure was good. We only stayed one night but will most likely stop again when traveling the Florida panhandle.

For Hitchin Post Corral and Campground: Great little Campground , lots of white bunnies lol and just 5 minutes off the I-10 , recently opened and new ,The owner's John and Vonda are fantastic and sure knew what they were doing when they built this little Park , Best Wi-Fi We have had at a park in a very long time , 17 full Hook-up pull Throughs that can accommodate up To 100 ft and level , most are spacious , some are average ,7 back in site's in the woods some really big and more private if you prefer , We love the layout and you can even pick what site you want , Very BiG RIG FRIENDLY indeed ,easy in one way easy out the exit, owners met us at our 45 ft. coach with tow IN the middle of the storm that caused us to pull into this rustic cozy little hideaway in the first place and what a great place it surely is , 2 really big fenced in DOG parks, corrals for horse's, very family and Pet friendly , walking trails around the entire Park including the lake, Vonda brought us some fresh free range eggs before we left and yes they were absolutely yummy we didn't have time to fish but we did enjoy our walk to the Lake and plan on returning soon to do some fishing and hopefully break the 8lb record lol we are looking forward to watching them grow as We travel through that area every 3 months thanks guys for your awesome hospitality we wish you the best and are looking forward to visiting again and again

Jane

For Hitchin Post Corral and Campground: Pulled in & couldn't figure out how this place had 5 stars. Dirt sites, no building for an office, just a canopy. Very few campers in the campground & right along side of the expressway.

Bill

For Hitchin Post Corral and Campground: Great small park, great people, how many places do you know that brings you a door mat because in some places the grass has not grown in yet.
Nicest people we've ever seen on an RV park.

excellent stopover or a place to visit the area.
Visit them, you won't be disappointed.

Snowbunny

For Hitchin Post Corral and Campground: Allstays said $$$,when in fact it was $$$$. It was right on the freeway and very noisy. The owners were wonderful and the park was very clean. No facilities.

JES

For Hitchin Post Corral and Campground: Outstanding camp ground for a stop along I-10 or a longer stay to explore the area. All sites have excellent pedestals for power, night lighting and water. Sewer inlets are well located and have a nicely designed angled cement surround--John clearly put some thought into the layout. The price is excellent, especially if you are a member of Passport America. The lake and grounds make for a lovely stroll and the dog runs are a nice addition. This campground has easy access on and off of I-10 and there is an excellent Love's at this exit. You will hear the highway (as you do in all campgrounds that are close to major roads) but the back in sites at the rear are quieter. I did checkout the two nearby state park campgrounds & I prefer the convenience and layout of the Hitchin Post. The owners have made this a little slice of heaven and I look forward to visiting again in the Spring when the flowers are in bloom.
