Getting there
Plumas NF, From Oroville on Hwy 70 take Hwy 162 east to Olive Hwy. Turn right and go 5 miles to Forbestown Road. Turn right and go 16 miles to La Porte Road(CR 514). Turn left and go 27 miles to La Porte, continue through La Porte for 2 miles to the Recreation Area signs, turn right and go 2.5 miles to site.
